My great grandfather use to dink his Zachlawi with the Lebanese tradition by adding the Zachalwi to a cup with ice, he would then wait for a minute or two till the clear color of the liquid turned to a milky white look, and only after that he would sip his drink. (Rabbi Alon Anava)
